MINSK (Sputnik) — Minsk is ready to become a permanent host for reconciliation talks between Kiev and self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics in eastern Ukraine, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said Wednesday.
"Minsk is ready to host the dialogue in any format, including direct talks between Kiev, DPR and LPR," Makei told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the ongoing "Normandy Four" summit on Ukraine crisis.
Commenting on the atmosphere of the summit, Makei said that all parties at the peace talks were determined to find commonly accepted solutions to end the deadly conflict in eastern Ukraine that has claimed at least 5,300 lives since April 2014.
"We had the opportunity to talks with every party at the negotiations, and we see that they all have the desire to reach positive results," Makei stressed.
