Local media reported of shelling outside the Ukrainian city of Mariupol as reconciliation talks on the Ukrainian crisis are underway in Minsk.

Throughout the night Mariupol residents heard shelling near the Vostochny checkpoint, 0629 news website said.

Meanwhile, leaders of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France take part in the much-anticipated talks on a peace plan that could end the deadly 10-month conflict in eastern Ukraine.
