Hristo Marinov, a member of the Bulgarian political party “Attack”, said that the two countries are currently negotiating an establishment of a bio-cluster in Crimea.
The project is expected to involve leading experts from bioenergy and agro-processing fields.
Leader of the "Attack" party, Volen Siderov, stated that the majority of Bulgarians support Russia. The party has recently introduced a bill to the Bulgarian parliament to recognize Crimea as a part of Russia and is planning to initiate a referendum, where Bulgarians can express their attitude towards NATO.
The leader of the “Attack” party also expressed fears that the US views Bulgaria as a bridgehead for military aggression against Russia, adding however, that Bulgarian people are strictly opposed to US influence.
