MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Ukrainian President ordered all the units on the front line of contact with the independence supporters to cease fire starting from midnight.
“I now order the armed forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the units of the Ministry of Interior, the units of the Border Guard Service, the Units of the Security Service of Ukraine to cease fire from 00.00, February 15,” Poroshenko said at the meeting of the Ukrainian General Staff, as quoted by the 112 TV channel.

Ukrainian Minister of Interior Arsen Avakov has signed a coded telegram, ordering the National Guard of Ukraine and the country’s Interior Ministry to stop fire.
“I have signed a coded telegram [ordering] all Ministry of International Affairs units on the front line of contact with the militants to cease fire starting from midnight, February, 15. In accordance with Minsk Agreement… As a Minister I declare: all the units of Ministry of International Affairs and the National Guard of Ukraine will cease fire at midnight,” Avakov wrote on his Facebook webpage.

The other side of the Ukrainian conflict has also announced the cease of hostilities throughout the conflict line.
All the units of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic's (DPR) militia have ceased hostilities in Donbas at midnight, local time, February, 15, the deputy head of DPR militia said.

“All the DPR units have ceased hostilities throughout the entire contact line,” Eduard Basurin said, adding that starting from February, 15 DPR will begin drafting an action plan regarding the exchange of prisoners and the withdrawal of heavy weaponry in accordance with the agreements reached on September 19, 2014.

The ceasefire in southeastern Ukraine is one of the measures agreed by the leaders of Ukraine, France and Germany and Russia during the most recent reconciliation talks on Ukraine that took place in the Belarus capital of Minsk on February 12.
Other steps, mentioned in the 13-point agreement, that was signed by representatives of Kiev, Ukraine's two breakaway regions, Moscow, and the OSCE include withdrawal of heavy artillery, prisoner exchange and changes to Ukraine's constitution.
