Four crew members died after their military helicopter crashed at night near the Saudi border with Iraq and Kuwait, the official news agency Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The US-made Black Hawk helicopter was on a training mission when it crashed to the west of King Khalid Military City in the city of Hafar al-Batin, the agency reported, quoting an unnamed military source.
A short Defense Ministry statement issued early Tuesday and released by SPA did not clarify a cause for the crash of the military helicopter. It stated that there is an investigation underway to ascertain the cause of the crash.
