MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European partners of the Russian energy giant Gazprom have not expressed doubts about the company's reliability as a gas supplier, the head of the Gazprom finance department said Thursday.
"None of all those partners that we are working with… has doubted the reliability of our company," Andrey Kruglov said in an interview with Russia's Rossiya-24 television.
He also said that the company expected to see positive financial results for the year 2014.
The United States and the European Union have imposed several rounds of sanctions on Russia over its alleged role in the escalation of the crisis in Ukraine. Moscow has denied the allegations.
The sanctions target Russia's finance, defence and energy sectors, as well as a number of individuals. Although Gazprom is not on the sanctions lists, its oil producing arm, Gazprom Neft, has become a target of the restrictive measures.
