Norwegian police arrested a 19-year old girl on suspicion of planning a suicide attack; however, after the arrest, the police realized they may have made a mistake, The Local reports.
Everything about the girl led the Norwegian police to believe she was a potential terrorist: she started practicing Islam two years ago and stayed in Turkey, where she studied Arabic, with her new husband. In this day and age, these things are enough to suspect someone of not only having terrorist links, but plotting an actual terrorist attack.
When interrogated, the girl could not hold back her frustration with the whole situation.
“It is so ridiculous. Why should I blow myself up? I’m sorry, but I just had to laugh when I heard that,” she told Norwegian TV2.
The girl said she is a Muslim and that is exactly why she will not commit suicide, as Islam does not allow that. She also said she has never traveled to Syria and it was someone back in Oslo who has spread rumors about her.
