DONETSK (Sputnik) — A prisoner exchange will take place in east Ukraine's city of Luhansk in the "35-for-37" format later on Saturday, the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) ombudsperson said.
A RIA Novosti reporter witnessed a bus with Kiev troops departing for the anticipated site of exchange in Luhansk.
On February 11, the so-called Normandy Four held extensive talks in the Belarusian capital Minsk, emerging the next day with a 13-point set of measures to halt the military conflict between the warring parties in east Ukraine.
As part of the deal brokered by the German, French, Ukrainian and Russian leaders, Kiev-led forces and independence supporters were to cease fire starting February 15, remove heavy weaponry from the line of contact, and conduct an all-for-all prisoner exchange.
