Russian gas deliveries to the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic are "sufficient," a LPR gas pipeline chief engineer, Vadim Tupoy, said.
"Yes, meanwhile it [the Russian gas] is coming. The gas supplies are sufficient. All volumes that have been declared are held true," he said.
According to the engineer, Ukrainian gas is not being utilized at the moment.
"Gazprom" later reported that Moscow had increased the supplies of gas to the south-eastern regions of Ukraine. They reach 12 million cubic meters a day and are coming through gas metering stations "Prokhorovka" and "Platovo" which had not been used before.
Later, the head of the Ukrainian "Naftogaz" company, Andrey Kobolev, said at a briefing that the company resumed gas supplies "to the area of special operations in the Donbass region". However, as reported by Dmitry Medvedev on Friday, Ukraine has not yet delivered gas to the breakaway republics.
