Category 5 cyclone Marcia rampaged through the Australian state of Queensland leaving at least 1,500 houses and 1,500 power lines severely damaged. Around 100 houses in the cities of Yeppoon and Rockhampton are in critical condition.
There is significant damage to powerlines — with over 1,800 lines down. Remember to stay away from fallen powerlines and call 13 19 62.

Annastacia Palaszczuk, the premier of Queensland, said that helping "all Queenslanders get back on their feet" was a priority for local authorities.

The cleanup is underway in the areas affected by the powerful storm. Electricity and telephone companies are working to get services restored to Queensland communities.
