WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Julianne Moore won this year's Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in "Still Alice" at the 2015 Oscars race.
The winner was announced at the 87th Academy Awards in Hollywood's Dolby Theatre on Sunday night. This was the fifth Academy Award nomination for Moore.
Moore plays a college professor who learns that she is suffering from early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
The other nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role included Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike, and Reese Witherspoon.
