BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – At least two people were seriously injured during an exchange of fire near a nightclub in the center of Belgium's capital Brussels on Monday, those involved are yet to be identified, La Libre newspaper reported.
According to the Belgian daily, citing a local resident, the incident occurred at the corner of Jourdan and Dejoncker streets, a respectable district of the Belgian capital early Monday morning.
According to local media reports, witnesses heard about 20 shots and saw a bloodied man running from the scene.
Neighborhoods adjacent to Jourdan Street have been cordoned off by the police, La Libre reported on Monday.
The incident is not the first to take place outside the Silver Club. The club had been closed down due to skirmishes in the summer and autumn 2014.
