In late January, Hadi was forced to step down after Shiite Houthi rebels captured the presidential palace. The president then turned to the country's parliament asking lawmakers to authorize his resignation.
"The president has filed a letter to the parliament withdrawing his previous resignation request," a presidential aide said.
He added that Hadi had called on lawmakers to cooperate in order to "rescue what can be rescued" and stabilize Yemeni security and the economy.
The Houthis, the main opposition force in Yemen, began staging mass rallies in August 2014, protesting against the government cutting subsidies for petrol. In September, the rebels took over Sanaa and continued to gain ground in other cities.
Many countries shut their embassies in the country amid security concerns after the Houthis forced the president to step down and dissolved the parliament.
On Friday, UN envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar said that Yemen's rebel factions agreed to establish a transitional council as part of a peaceful political process.
