MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A woman has been arrested in connection with the deaths of a man and girl found inside a private residence in West London, Scotland Yard said Saturday.
"An investigation has been launched in Notting Hill following the deaths of [a] man and child. A woman in her 30s has been arrested," the Metropolitan Police said on its Twitter page.
Police did not disclose the detained woman's identity.
Reports in the media emerged earlier in the day that law enforcement officials received a call late Friday amid concerns for the safety of the Notting Hill apartment's residents.
Police found the bodies after entering inside the property by force, prompting a homicide investigation and classifying the murders as "unexplained."
The victims are believed to be a man in his 40s and a four-year-old girl.
