Sam Sumana, Sierra Leone's vice president, has placed himself into quarantine after one of his guard died of Ebola. He will work from home for the next 21 days, the incubation period of the hemorrhagic fever.
Recently, the number of Ebola cases in Sierra Leone has been on the rise. According to the World Health Organization, the nation has approximately 11,000 confirmed, probable and suspected cases of the deadly virus, the most of any country.
Ebola has claimed nearly 10,000 lives in its latest outbreak.
