MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hor Namhong will visit Russia in the beginning of the next week, Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Sunday.
"By the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hor Namhong will pay a working visit to Russia on March 2-4," the statement read.
Lavrov and Hor are expected to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation in practical areas, as well as international and regional issues.
Cambodian minister will also take part in the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission. Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov will head the Russian delegation at the commission.
The visit of Cambodian Foreign minister was planned to contribute to the development of the positive tendencies in the relations between the two countries, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
