More than 20 residents of a Gazost village in Haute-Pyrenees region were cut off from the rest of the world for the weekend, as a mudslide completely destroyed 150 meters of the only road in or out. No one was killed but several properties were severely damaged.
Two people had to be evacuated by helicopter because of illness.
The area had been on an avalanche alert in recent weeks due to heavy snows.
