MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia's annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is scheduled for June, and this time its participants from around the globe will focus on cybersecurity and Russian investment programs, according to the press release issued Thursday.
One of four forum session groups will be dedicated to finding ways of attracting foreign investment by pointing out opportunities of the country's economy, among other topics.
Another session group will cover technology issues, including data transition security, protection of personal information and efficient cybersecurity systems.
Two more session groups will discuss current challenges in global economy and human resources development, including the improvement and availability of high-quality education and the modernization of healthcare system.
The 19th annual forum is expected to be attended by key Russian and international companies' representatives, leading experts and government delegations from around the world.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger are among the most prominent figures that have participated in the forum over the past five years, according to the press release.
