MOSCOW (Sputnik), Anna Liatsou —The Russian Investment Agency has plans to create a Russian hotel chain and to construct a campus of the Russian University in Cyprus, the agency’s president Yury Spiridonov said in an interview with Sputnik.

“One of the programs that we are planning for the near future is the creation of a Russian hotel chain. There is a preliminary agreement with the Cyprus government: they will be providing us with assets (for example, incomplete construction or real estate) and we will be attracting Russian investment,” he said.

Spiridonov explained that it will be the owned by the Russian companies.

The second important project, according to him, is the construction of the Russian University in Cyprus, which would accept students from different countries and provide high-quality education in disciplines that there is a demand for.
