Gazprom increased the supply of gas to Slovakia through Ukraine by 50% raising the supply to 106.5 million cubic meters, using the gas transmission system company called Eustream in Slovakia.
"Russia delivered to Slovakia via Ukraine 106.5 million cubic meters of gas on Friday. In comparison with the usual daily volume this represents an increase of more than 50%," read a statement in Slovakian newspaper, Pravda.
The Eustream Company could not explain what caused such a sharp increase in supply. Earlier their gas supply was about 48 million cubic meters.
Last year the Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Pavol Pavlis, repeatedly stated that in September 2014 Gazprom reduced gas supplies to Slovakia.
