A blaze in a shopping mall in the Russian city of Kazan, Tatarstan, left four dead and caused over 600 people to be evacutaed, a source within the local emergency authority told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
"Another victim died at the hospital. The death toll rose to four," the source said.
A total of 650 people were evacuted, with nearly 250 being shopping mall staff, according to the local emergency authority.

The 43,000-sqare feet "Admiral" shopping mall caught fire earlier Wednesday. The entrance to the building fell as firemen put the flames out.
The moment when the building's roof collapsed was captured on video.
A total of 30 fire-fighting vehicles and 70 firemen were deployed to the area immediately, and reinforcements added soon after, according to the Emergencies Ministry.
