Wina Lia, 40-year-old, plans to sell her property for $76,500. The ad, posted on a local website, said that the house in Sleman includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fishpond in the backyard.
“The bid of the century!” the homeowner wrote. “Buy a house and marry the owner [terms and conditions apply]. For serious prospective buyers only. No negotiations,” Jakarta Post quoted the woman.
Wina Lia followed the advice of her realtor to make this unusual offer. The realtor recommended that she supplement the advertisement for the house sale with the marriage proposal, after the woman mentioned her problem when talking to him. Since being widowed in 2000, she has brought up her children alone. Up to now, she hasn't managed to find anyone worthy to tie the knot with.
“Every time I fall in love, it fails – it’s happened twice now,” Wina told the press. The woman also noted that she has no any specific requirements: “My wish is to sell this house, but it would be great if I also meet my soulmate.”
