MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) was named 25th in the 2015 edition of the World Reputation Rankings by Times Higher Education published Wednesday.
The 2015 World Reputation Rankings are based on the evaluations by more than 10,000 scholars from 142 countries.
Another Russian university that made it to the Times' top-100 this year is the Saint Petersburg State University. It was ranked 71-80, along with the US Boston University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Netherlands Utrecht University. This is the first time Saint Petersburg State University was named in the World Reputation Rankings.
The rankings' top-ten this year, just like in 2014, was occupied solely by US and British schools with Harvard topping the list and the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford occupying second and third position respectively.
