WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Chicago Police Department (CPD) is aware of demands made via e-mail regarding the “black site” interrogation facility at Homan Square, but are ignoring them, Chicago “black site” activist and protest organizer Billy Mills told Sputnik.
“This is my third email to them,” Mills said on Wednesday. “They have ignored each one, but they are aware of them.”
Mills submitted a range of demands to the CPD on behalf of the three organizations. The demands included a public inspection of the “black site” by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a public inquisition of CPD officers who work there.
When Sputnik inquired with the CPD about the “black site,” the CPD sent back the Homan Square Fact Sheet, which contained facts about the facility and quotes from positive stories written about it.
The CPD told Sputnik earlier that it abides by all laws, rules and regulations.
