MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Speaking in front of the crowd, Netanyahu said that there is a real danger that the left-wing Zionist Union will rise to power.
The Sunday rally was organized by former mayor of Kedumim Daniela Weiss. She told Sputnik that the demonstration, titled "United for the Land of Israel," was being held in response to last Saturday's left-wing demonstration that called for the replacement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the upcoming elections.
"We are very happy with the outcome, this rally turned out to be more than we hoped for," Weiss told Sputnik summing up the event.
Three latest opinion polls, including the one conducted by Israeli Channel 10 on Friday, indicated that the ruling party was four seats behind the opposition, with the Zionist Union polling 25 seats in the Knesset against 20 for the Likud.
