Authorities named documents, cash, credit cards, a mobile phone, lighter, drugs and food as other items, people should put in a survival kit. They also advise Latvians to leave danger zones as quickly as possible.
Latvians should also inform authorities of any suspicious armed foreigners they encounter. If Latvian nationals find themselves in a conflict zone, they should remain calm and follow instructions.
Latvia's State Fire and Rescue Service is also working on a similar booklet designed to help people in case of emergency, not war. Both drafts were discussed today during a meeting, with high ranking officials present.
