"As of today, Ukraine's debt amounts to $2.477 billion, including the base debt, penalties and fines," Novak said ahead of a trilateral Russia-Ukraine-EU energy meeting in Brussels on Friday.
Novak also said the price of the Russian gas for Ukraine in the second quarter of 2015 could be set at $348 per 1,000 cubic meters, not counting the discount.
The current price is $329 per 1,000 cubic meters.
In June 2014, Russia halted gas deliveries to Ukraine due to its multibillion-dollar debt, however, in December gas sales to Kiev resumed under the so-called winter package agreed on in October.
The focus of the upcoming trilateral talks in Brussels will be the terms of Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine after "winter package" deal, which was brokered by the European Commission, expires on March 31.
