Officer Jenchesky Santiago was on patrol last May when he came across two men at a house and told them they were parked illegally. However, it turned out they weren’t. The driver told Santiago he was merely dropping off his cousin.
He ordered the driver out of the car and searched both of them. The cousin’s wife eventually came outside and confirmed he lived there. However, Santiago wasn’t interested in that fact.
“We’re PGPD (Prince Georges Police Department; we shoot people,” Santiago told him while aiming the gun.
Santiago was eventually suspended without pay and, now after months of investigation, has finally been indicted with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of the use of a handgun in the commission of a violent crime, and two counts of misconduct in office.
