MOSCOW, March 22 (Sputnik) – US authorities evacuated homes in the Bosque County, Texas on Saturday, after a train hauling methanol derailed, local media reported.
A dozen of the train’s 40 cars derailed near Valley Mills, five of which were carrying methanol.
Some methanol-carrying tanks are believed to be leaking, the WFAA channel 8 said.
No injuries have been reported following the incident.
It is unclear yet what caused the derailment. A hazardous materials crew is now working on the scene.
