WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking into the validity of any threats to US military personnel after the Islamic State posted a blacklist online, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said on Monday.
“The United States is working with the FBI who is the lead investigator here to determine the validity of any potential threats that may arise from this posting,” Earnest told journalists at a press briefing.
There is no indication at present of a data breach as the released information, including the military personnel’s photos and addresses, was freely available on social media, Earnest said.
