MOSCOW, March 23 (Sputnik) — Plymouth crown heard a case in which Marcin Kostrzewa broke into the apartment of his neighbor, an engineer who worked on submarines and often brought secret documents home.
Kostrzewa allegedly found restricted drawings stashed away in an airing cupboard. He then contacted the Polish embassy and offered to sell them top secret information.
Between January and April 2014, British security services and the Metropolitan Police lured the Pole into a hotel room rigged with recording devices. The man offered to sell the stolen documents for 50,000 pounds ($74.780), saying it was only the beginning.
Agents studied the documents and arrested the 31-year-old as he was leaving the hotel room. The trial is underway, the Guardian indicated.
