A senior Canadian government official said the prime minister will announce a one-year extension of Canada’s military operation against the Islamic State and its expansion of air strikes on jihadist targets in Syria.
The official said Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, will announce the extension when he presents a bill to Parliament on Tuesday morning.
