Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Wednesday that the Humvees would be equipped with weapons and sent to Donbass.
"The president greeted first 10 Humvees, a vehicle extremely powerful and useful for our military," tweeted Svyatoslav Tsegolko, Poroshenko's press secretary.

"In total, Ukraine is expected to receive 230 US vehicles," said head of special operations in eastern Ukraine Andriy Lysenko, describing the delivery as military aid.
Yury Biryukov, Poroshenko's aide, posted several photos from the event on Facebook.

Earlier in March, Barack Obama announced that the United States will send 30 armored Humvees and up to 200 unarmored Humvees, as well as counter-mortar radars, unarmed drones, radios and medical equipment to Ukraine as part of non-lethal military aid.
