WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — In Syria, the US-led Coalition forces conducted five airstrikes near Kobani, which destroyed ten ISIL fighting positions and two of their vehicles, according to CENTCOM.
Meanwhile in Iraq 14 airstrikes were launched in ISIL-controlled territory, where the coalition military forces destroyed dozens of Islamic State armored vehicles, machine guns, buildings, tactical units as well as a modular oil refinery.
The airstrikes were a part of the Coalition’s Operation Inherent Resolve, whose goal is to eliminate the Islamic State terrorist group, according to statement.
