LAUSANNE (Sputnik) — There is progress in the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 group, director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, told Sputnik on Thursday.
"There is progress," he said. "We have been moving forward, but we have not yet reached the end of the path.”
Iran rules out the signing of a nuclear deal with the P5+1 group of international negotiators unless there is consent on all issues, Ali Akbar Salehi said.
"There is no agreement until we agree on everything," he told reporters, adding that the parties had "come close to a common understanding on many issues."
"But still there are many other issues we have to resolve," he said.
Iran and the P5+1 group of Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, have been conducting negotiations for more than a year, seeking to guarantee a peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program.
The sides agreed to reach a final comprehensive deal by July 2015.
The most recent round of talks kicked off on Thursday in Lausanne, Switzerland and will last until March 29.
