MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Noord-Holland and Flevoland provinces in Northern Netherlands are suffering a major blackout on Friday due to a power station failure in the city of Diemen, the local DutchNews website reported.
Power cuts have reportedly hit the capital Amsterdam as well.
Schiphol, the country's main international airport, is running on emergency generators, incoming flights are being redirected to Germany, an airport official told Sputnik.
