An accident at the VLN 1 auto rally in Germany' Nurburgring has killed one spectator and injured several others after one of the drivers drove off the track for an unknown reason, vaulted over the guard fence and landed in a spectator area, the event's organizers announced.
The injured spectators were taken to a hospital and the race was stopped after the incident. Jann Mardenborough, the driver who was involved in the incident was also taken to hospital. Organizers as well as the VLN team are conducting an investigation into the accident.
