MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Former chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina said in a Sunday interview with Fox News that the chances that she will formally start a 2016 campaign are "higher than 90 percent."
"If I run for president, it’s because I can win the job and do the job," Fiorina said on "Fox News Sunday."
Fiorina added that she is likely to formally announce the beginning of her election campaign as a Republican presidential candidate in late April or early May.
Fiorina also stated that she could appeal to voters with "a deep understanding of how the economy works."
Currently, the Senator for the state of Texas Ted Cruz is the only major Republican candidate to officially declare that he is seeking the presidency. Cruz announced his presidential bid on Monday.
