MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Lisbon is returning to Istanbul Ataturk Airport after a bomb threat, the local news agency DHA reported on Wednesday.
Extensive security measures have been taken at the airport.
On Monday, another Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-300 en route from Istanbul to Sao Paulo made an emergency landing in Casablanca, after a note saying that there was a bomb on board, was found in the toilet.
On Sunday, a third Turkish Airlines aircraft flying from Istanbul to Tokyo had to return to Ataturk Airport on suspicion of having a bomb on board. Police officers searched the entire aircraft but no explosives were found.
