MOSCOW (Sputnik) — LFB said a safety cordon was placed in the area and police have closed Kingsway, a major road in central London, as well as asked drivers to avoid the area.
"The alarm was raised after smoke was seen coming out of an inspection cover on the pavement," LFB said in a statement published on its website.
According to the fire brigade, a total of 35 firefighters are waiting for utility companies to decouple the power, so that brigade can start to tackle the blaze.
