The party's economics spokesman, Patrick O'Flynn, stated that the European Union was "brainwashing the children" by pouring money into the British educational system.
“There have been lots of stories about the extent of EU funding of publicity that has gone into schools," O'Flynn said as quoted by The Telegraph.
According to Suzanne Evans, the party's deputy chairman, the pro-EU propaganda is everywhere "from colouring in books on the Common Agricultural Policy for primary school children right up to research projects at university level."
