LAUSANNE (Sputnik) — French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will most likely rejoin the P5+1 group talks with Tehran on the Iranian nuclear program in Lausanne tonight, French Foreign Ministry political director for Iranian affairs Nicolas de Riviere said Wednesday.
“Most likely, this night,” de Riviere told reporters.
The P5+1 group of six world powers comprising Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China and Germany tries to reach a deal with Tehran guaranteeing a peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program.
A new round of P5+1 talks with Tehran kicked off in Lausanne on March 19. It was expected to conclude last Sunday, but the negotiations were prolonged.
The deadline to reach the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear program is set for July 1, 2015.
