"Israel demands that any final agreement with Iran will include a clear and unambiguous Iranian recognition of Israel's right to exist," Netanyahu said in a statement following a meeting with cabinet members to discuss Thursday's framework agreement between P5+1 negotiators and Iran.
"Israel will not accept an agreement which allows a country that vows to annihilate us to develop nuclear weapons, period," the Israeli leader added.
He said that in a few years, the restrictions on Iran's nuclear program under the deal would be removed thus enabling Iran to have a "massive enrichment capacity" that could be used by Tehran to produce many nuclear bombs within several months.
On Thursday, Tehran and the P5+1 group of international mediators reached a breakthrough framework deal on the Iranian nuclear program in Lausanne, Switzerland, agreeing on a number of key issues that include uranium enrichment, the number of centrifuges and sanctions imposed on the Islamic republic.
Netanyahu said that the deal did not prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapon, but, on the contrary, paved a way for Iran to produce it.
