General Electric Confirms Safe Evacuation After Fire at Kentucky Plant

On Friday, a fire broke out at GE’s Appliance Park Plant in Kentucky, consuming an entire building, and leading to the evacuation of its employees.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — General Electric (GE) employees were evacuated safely from the GE Appliance Park Plant in Kentucky after a fire broke out on Friday, GE Senior Public Relations Manager Dominic McMullan confirmed with Sputnik.

“There have been no known injuries, the site has been evacuated, but we have no other details at this time,” McMullan said.

On Friday, a fire broke out at GE’s Appliance Park Plant in Kentucky, consuming an entire building, and leading to the evacuation of its employees.

GE Appliance Park in Louisville comprises at least 15 buildings and employs some 6,000 people.

GE is a multinational conglomerate that operates in the power and water, oil and gas, energy management, aviation, healthcare, transportation, and capital fields.
