"We cannot tolerate instability and radicalism in the region. Both countries aspire to a ceasefire in Yemen… we are against the foreign intervention. We are ready to fight together against terrorism and stand for the preservation of the fraternal relations between Muslim countries," Rouhani stated on Tuesday.
The announcement was made during Erdogan's official one-day visit to Tehran. He held talks with Rouhani on bilateral cooperation and discussed a number of pressing issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Yemen.
Since March 25, a Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out a military operation in Yemen against Houthi militants, at Hadi's request.
Turkey advocates the coalition's activities in Yemen and has even expressed its readiness to provide logistical support while Iran regards the airstrikes on Yemen as military aggression that could lead to the aggravation of the crisis.
