Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Sergei Lavrov told Rossiya Segodnya news agency's general director, Dmitry Kiselev, that without a UN Security Council resolution the Saudi military foray into Yemen was illegal.
The conflict has killed more than 540 people and injured 1,700 since March 19, according to the UN's recent estimates.
