A firefight erupted between Afghan and NATO security forces in eastern Afghanistan, killing at least one Afghan soldier.
The firefight occurred in Jalalabad during a visit of US Ambassador to Afghanistan Michael McKinley, who came to see the provincial governor, Javed Hamim Kakar.

An Afghan soldier has killed a NATO service member prior to being killed in return fire less than 100 miles east of Kabul, the alliance's Resolute Support mission announced on Wednesday.
