MADRID (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, Spanish police arrested 11 people, including a woman and a minor, for alleged connections with the Islamic State terrorist group.
Among the extremists’ targets the newspaper mentions Placa de Catalunya, one of the central squares of Barcelona, Arenas shopping center, the Catalan police commissariat, the parliament of autonomy, all in Barcelona, and the police headquarters in the town of Sabadell.
During the searches, pictures of these locations were found among the detainees' belongings.
