The tweet will be followed by a video and email announcement. The campaign tour is reported to begin in the state of Iowa.
Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill did not respond to requests from the newspaper for comment on Clinton's campaign kickoff schedule.
If speculations are confirmed Clinton will be the first Democratic presidential candidate to announce for the 2016 presidential elections.
Clinton, whose popularity is relentlessly polled in the United States, took a brief dip in approval after the New York Times published a story in March citing US Department of State sources accusing her of using a personal e-mail address during her tenure as Secretary of State between 2009 and 2013.
Democratic Party presidential primaries will take place in 50 states, the District of Columbia and US territories prior to the 2016 general election to determine the party nominee for Presidency of the United States.
