The Taliban is an insurgent group active in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The militants are notorious for carrying out multiple attacks on authorities and civilians, seeking to enforce strict Sharia law.
In 2014, the Taliban boosted its insurgent activities across Afghanistan amid the withdrawal of international troops, as the country’s forces faced the challenging task of providing security with their own resources.
